This week I had a great conversation with Alan March, founder and MD of Alan March Sport Ltd - a company that provides services including presentation, hosting, videography and Audio Description to a variety of sports around the world.
A few facts about Alan:
His very first commentary job was the 2006 FA Cup final between Liverpool and West Ham
He was the voice of ITV's 'Splash!'
He is a trained AD commentator.
As part of my radio documentary, I discussed with Alan the importance of Audio Description and, most vitally, his projections and plans for the service in the years to come.
He gave me some original information which will help the exclusivity of my documentary, as well as some food for thought in terms of bad practice that can occur with clubs fulfilling an obligation to disabled fans - I will investigate further.
